In six months of the Northern Border Operation, almost 6,000 suspects have been arrested and more than 53,000 kilograms of drugs have been seized

Since the operation began on February 5, some 5,996 suspects have been arrested and 4,790 firearms, 766,139 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, 22,437 magazines, 53,758.48 kg of drugs, including 310.89 kg of fentanyl, 4,261 vehicles, and 747 properties have been seized.

These actions are carried out in strict accordance with the rule of law and with full respect for human rights. Among the seizures and arrests, the following were the most significant:

Baja California

In Tijuana, three suspects were arrested and a handgun, a magazine, 12 rounds of ammunition, 70 doses of marijuana, and 24 doses of methamphetamine were seized.

Sinaloa

In Escuinapa de Hidalgo, 74 magazines, 725 rounds of ammunition, 20 ballistic vests, 11 ballistic plates, various tactical gear, and 35 tire spikes were seized.

In Culiacán, a clandestine laboratory used for the production of synthetic drugs was located and dismantled. During the operation, 5,500 liters and 1,325 kilos of substances for the production of methamphetamines, an organic synthesis reactor, and a condenser were seized. The economic impact on organized crime is estimated at 536 million pesos (US$28.48 million).

Sonora

In Magdalena de Kino, a suspect was arrested and a marijuana field with approximately 530 plants was located, eradicated, and incinerated.

In Cajeme, a suspect was arrested and 824 doses of methamphetamine, a rifle, 28 live rounds of ammunition, a magazine, a vehicle reported stolen, three cell phones, and 44,550 pesos (US$2,366) were seized.

Tamaulipas

In Camargo, five vehicles were seized, three of them with homemade armor and two reported stolen. Inside the vehicles, a Barrett rifle, nine other rifles, 78 magazines, 1,410 rounds of ammunition, and 32 improvised explosive devices were seized.
