The security cabinet continues operations to combat organized crime through arrests, drug seizures, and the seizure of vehicles and property

Since the operation began on February 5, authorities have detained 3,116 individuals and seized 2,665 firearms, 423,150 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, 13,176 magazines, 31,083.65 kilograms of drugs—including 174.44 kilograms of fentanyl—2,471 vehicles, and 403 properties.

These actions have been carried out in strict accordance with the rule of law and with full respect for human rights. The following highlights some of the seizures and arrests:

Baja California

Two individuals were arrested, and authorities seized 48 doses of methamphetamine, 35 doses of heroin, and 94 doses of marijuana.

Nuevo León

In Monterrey, authorities seized eight long guns, four handguns, 12 magazines, 288 rounds of ammunition, 29 kilograms of marijuana, 10 vests, seven ballistic helmets, and one piece of property.

Sinaloa

In Mazatlán, three individuals were arrested. Authorities seized two long guns, five magazines, 130 rounds of ammunition, and one tactical vest.

In Cosalá, two facilities that stored materials for methamphetamine production were discovered and dismantled. Authorities seized 830 liters of chemical substances used in drug manufacturing. The estimated financial blow to criminal organizations amounts to 17 million pesos.

Sonora

In Hermosillo, 30 illegally installed surveillance cameras were found and removed from public spaces.

Five individuals were arrested, and authorities seized 863 doses of methamphetamine, 325 doses of cocaine, 207 doses of marijuana, cash, one digital scale, and two properties.

Tamaulipas

In Matamoros, authorities seized three rifles, 17 magazines, 360 rounds of ammunition, and one vehicle.

In Ciudad Victoria, eight individuals were arrested, and authorities seized 1,062 pills of controlled medication along with seven properties.
