The intersection of art and politics, gender, new feminisms, ethical politics, social movements, peace culture, Indigenous self-determination, territorial defense, climate change, archiving, and memory, along with greater attention to children and the elderly, are some of the guiding principles for Sol Henaro, who officially took over as director of the Chopo University Museum this year.

In an interview, the curator explained that her management is based on the premise that the museum "should not only be visited but should also become a place where people stay and actively participate."

"From this perspective, it is relevant to study and reclaim some aspects that distinguish models such as the cultural house, social center, or civic center, characterized by their connection with communities and social work in conjunction with cultural production," Henaro explained. She indicated this approach will be gradually implemented in the museum's programming.

The director added that she aims to build bridges with other communities that "have been somewhat neglected, such as children and the elderly."
